I heard a while ago that certain people do not believe God wishes for us to sing. What about when, in the Bible, we are urged to sing praises to Him? Psalm 47:6 (NIV) states "Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises." This is not the only way to praise God, of course. What I am trying to say is that it is okay to sing to God with all your heart, mind, body, and soul. In fact, many verses tell us to sing to Him such as 1 Chronicles 16:9 and Psalm 66:2. Even all of creation is commanded to sing praises to God, "Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day." (1 Chronicles 16:23 NIV). So, I encourage you, sing!
